PACE is working with Southern California Gas Company to promote its energy efficiency programs among its Chinese, Filipino, Korean, Vietnamese and Hispanic residential, multi-family residential and small business owner customers.

Residential Customers

Thinking of replacing and/ or purchasing new appliance(s) for your home this year?

Take time to review the list below of qualified appliances and receive the corresponding rebates of up to $200**. Then sit back to enjoy additional savings when you receive your gas bill!

Appliances

  • 2011 ENERGY STAR ® Qualified Clothes Washers: Modified Energy Factor (MEF) 1.72 or greater and Water Factor (WF) 8.0 or less: $35.00 Rebate
  • 2011 ENERGY STAR ® Qualified Dishwasher: Energy Factor (EF) 0.65 or greater : $30.00 Rebate

Heating

  • ENERGY STAR ® Central Natural Gas Furnace: Tier II [92%+ Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE)]: $200.00 Rebate

Water Heater

  • Efficient Natural Gas Storage Water Heater: Energy Factor (EF) > 0.62: $30.00 Rebate
  • Efficient Natural Gas Storage Water Heater: Energy Factor (EF) >.67: $75.00

Tankless Water Heater*

  • For models with an Energy Factor (EF) >0.90: $200 Rebate
  • For models with an Energy Factor (EF) of 0.82: $150.00 Rebate

*Must be replacing a conventional tank-type water heater

Insulation

  • Attic or Wall Insulation: $0.15/sq.ft Rebate
  • Pipe Wrap (minimum 1 inch): $1.00 Rebate per linear feet

Water Conservation

  • Faucet Aerators [minimum 3 aerators/ less than 2.0 gallons per minute (GPM)]: $1.00 Rebate per aerator
  • Low Flow Shower Heads [less than 2.0 gallons per minute (GPM)]: $5.00/unit Rebate

Rebates for Multifamily Properties

If you are a multifamily property owner or manager, you may be entitled to rebates for the installation of qualified energy-efficiency products in your apartment or condo units and/or its common areas. Similar rebates are also available if you own mobile home parks and install these products in the common areas of these properties. If you are a property owner and/or a property manager of complexes with two (2) or more dwelling units, you may also be eligible to participate when you purchase or install the following energy-efficient products**:

ENERGY STAR ® Qualified Dishwashers (Inside Tenant Dwelling):

  • Level 1 (Energy Factor of 0.65-0.67): $30/each
  • Level 2 (Energy Factor ≥ 0.68): $50/each

Attic Insulation: $0.15/sq.ft.

Wall Insulation: $0.15/sq.ft.

Natural Gas Storage Water Heaters (Energy Factor ≥ 0.62): $30/each

ENERGY STAR ® Central Natural Gas Furnaces (92% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency): $200/each

Central System Natural Gas Water Heaters:

Must be 80 gallons or greater, and a mininum thermal efficiency of 82%: $500/each

Natural Gas Water Heater and/or Boiler Controllers:

Get up to a $1400 rebate on controllers for natural gas water heaters and/or boilers!

  • Save $700 on graph model controllers for buildings of 34 units or less
  • Save $1,400 on graph model controllers for buildings of 35 units or more

Central System Natural Gas Boilers :

  • Space Heating and Hot Water Heating: $1,500/each
  • Water Heating Only: $1,500/each

Rebates for Small Business Owners

Operate a more efficient and streamlined business and benefit from Southern California Gas Company’s Express Efficiency Rebates Program for businesses!

Own a restaurant? Dry cleaning or Laundromat? Beauty or nail salon? Hotel and lodging facilities? Nursing homes or hospices? Do you provide loans to small businesses? If you are planning on replacing or upgrading your facility, you should check the list of available rebates for energy-efficient equipment. Rebates of up to $200,000 may be waiting for you!

You may qualify under this program if you replace your old equipment with energy-efficient units such as:

  • Clothes washers
  • Industrial boilers
  • Water heaters
  • Commercial pool heaters

Additional rebates are also available when you:

  • Install pipe and tank insulation
  • Curtains and infrared film
