Southern California Gas Company Rebate Programs 

PACE is working with Southern California Gas Company to promote The Gas Company's energy efficiency programs among its Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Hispanic residential, multifamily building owners/ property management companies and small business customers.

Residential Customers

Thinking of replacing and/or purchasing new appliance(s) for your home this year?

Take time to review the list below of qualified appliances and to receive the corresponding rebates of up to $200**.  Then sit back to enjoy additional savings when you receive your gas bill!

Appliances

• $35.00 REBATE: 2007 ENERGY STAR® Qualified Dishwasher: Energy Factor (EF) 0.65 or greater

   

  Heating

  • $200.00 REBATE: ENERGY STAR ® Central Natural Gas Furnace: Tier II [92%+ Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE)]

   

  Water Heater

  • $30.00 REBATE: Efficient Natural Gas Storage Water Heater: Energy Factor (EF) > 0.62

   

  Insulation

  • $0.15/sq.ft. REBATE: Attic Insulation: Any existing insulation must be R-11 or less.  The final insulation level must be R-30 or R-19 if there is less than 24" of attic
  • $0.15/sq.ft. REBATE: Wall Insulation: Existing walls must be uninsulated and the installed insulation must achieve a minimum of R-13

  Multifamily Properties

  If you are a multifamily property owner of manager, you may be entitled to rebates for the installation of energy-efficient products in your apartment or condo units and/or its common areas.  Similar rebates are also available if you own mobile home parks and install these products in the common areas of these properties.  If you are a property owner and/or property manager of complexes with 2 or more dwelling units, you may also be eligible to participate in this program, when you purchase or install the following energy-efficient products**:

  Energy Star Qualified Dishwashers (Inside Tenant Dwelling):  

  • $30.00 REBATE for each: Level 1 (Energy Factor of 0.65-0.67)
  • $50.00 REBATE for each: Level 2 (Energy Factor ≥ 0.68)

   

  Attic Insulation:

  • $0.15/sq.ft. REBATE : Any existing insulation must be R-11 or less.  The final insulation level must be R-30 or R-19 if there is less than 24" of attic

  Wall Insulation:    

  • $0.15/sq.ft. REBATE: Existing walls must be uninsulated and the installed insulation must achieve a minimum of R-13

  Natural Gas Storage Water Heaters (Energy Factor ≥ 0.62): $30/each

   

  Energy Star Central Natural Gas Furnaces (92% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency): $200/each 

   

  Central System Natural Gas Water Heaters:  

  • $500.00 REBATE each: 80 gallons or greater, with a minimum thermal efficiency of 82%

   

  Natural Gas Water Heater and/or Boiler Controllers:

  • $750.00 REBATE each: Controllers may be non-digital graph model serving a multifamily building of 30 units or greater, or a digital graph model serving a multifamily building of 29 units or less
  • $1,500.00 REBATE each: Controllers must be digital graph model serving a multifamily building of 30 units or more

   

  Central System Natural Gas Boilers :

  • $1,500.00 REBATE each: Space Heating and Hot Water Heating
  • $1,500.00 REBATE each: Water Heating Only

  Small Business Owners

  Operate a more efficient and streamlined business and benefit from Southern California Gas Company's Express Efficiency Rebates Program for businesses! 

  Own a restaurant?  Dry cleaning or Laundromat?  Beauty or nail salon?  Hotel and lodging facilities?  Do you provide loans to small businesses?  If you are planning on replacing or upgrading your facility, you should check the list of available rebates for energy-efficient equipment.  Rebates of up to $200,000 may be waiting for you!

  You may qualify under this program if you replace your old equipment with energy-efficient units such as: 

  • Clothes washers
  • Industrial boilers
  • Water heaters
  • Commercial pool heaters

  Additional rebates are also available when you:

  • Install pipe and tank insulation
  • Curtains and infrared film
